*Regarding Grade A, AA, AAA, AAAA - the more A's the thicker the dobari is when it comes to dobari shinais. AAA and AAAA are Madake bamboo.

The more A's, the higher the quality of the shinai; however, every individual has their preferences. Some kendoka prefer A to AAAA regardless of price and quality difference.

Smokey and smooth.

These shinai are treated with the utmost care so they are ready for immediate use. They arrive well maintained and are not dried out or too brittle. They are simply beautiful with their contrasting colors and I would buy a whole shipping container, if I could.
