Gi & Hakama

Please use the size chart below as a reference to estimate the correct size for your gi and hakama. All manufacturers have a slight difference in their sizing. We have listed as many specs as possible to help you select the correct size.

A quick tip is for men to pick a hakama 5-10cm shorter than their actual height because most men wear it lower on their abdomen. As for women, picking hakama size equivalent to your actual height should be a good fit because most women wear their hakama slightly above their hip. This is only a suggestion based on our experience.

If you have a larger torso compared to the average person of equal height, please choose a larger gi.

For example, if you are 170cm, but weigh about 200lbs, and have a waist of 36in, and wear a XL t-shirt, Gi size of 3.5 and #24 hakama fits well. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us.
