We believe that "Kaze" is a beautifully made set in the ultra-light division of Kendo bogu. With a 3mm stitch base, it can retain its shape well, offer good protection, and be durable for prolonged practice and competition. The naname-zashi mendare gives a very stylish look to this orizashi bogu set. Comfort and lightness were emphasized in this set for kendo players who want to do anything possible to help them perform at their maximum in tournaments. The incredibly flexible kote allows for undisturbed wrist movement for maximum performance, and the deer leather palms add to its durability and comfort.
Most ultra-light bogu sets, sometimes called jissengata sets, have a reduced "protective" factor. If protection is important to you, this set may not be suitable. The set does offer adequate protection, but to be ultra-light, it had to sacrifice the protection factor by a fraction.
This set has been favored by many high-performance kendo players in Korea, especially in the youth and college divisions who attend numerous tournaments during the year, and use this bogu solely for tournaments.
